"Swedish Metronome recordings when Rolf Ericson toured back to Sweden in triumph. Rolf Ericson, one of the most famous Swedish Jazz players, went to the US in the late 1940s and made a certain amount of success. Then in 1956, he formed a band to tour his native country Sweden. This album was recorded in that era. (note: Ernestine Anderson's MG-20354 was also recorded in this era - Ernestine toured with Rolf Ericson's band.) Although the arrangements and the ensemble sound rather old-style with our later years, Rolf's trumpet itself is very warming and sincere. Duke Jordan provided a very famous tune "Flight to Jordan" - maybe this is the first recording of the tune. "
