A UK original copy on yellow/black Parlophone labels. The last of the three early and rare Export albums derived from the bastardized US Beatles albums on Capitol.
This title was exported to Scandinavia, foremost Sweden(and possibly also to the US and Canada).
1966 original with "THE GRAMOPHONE CO." rim and year(s) printed "℗ 1964", "℗ 1965" and "℗ 1966".
Pretty strange issues to say the least..
MADE in the UK but NOT released there at all, simply copies of typical US releases - a jumble of only 11 tracks, way back from 1964 up to now, 1966, just haphazardly thrown together, with several lesser ones as well as typical B-sides.
And then SOLD in the country of origin, or to one which already imported - the US Capitol-originals(!).
Yet even stranger, they were made in very limited quantities, probably no more than a couple of thousand - explaining their scarcity. With so few copies, why even bother making them at all?
With Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flipback sleeve, complete with the EMI-tex inner sleeve.
These export albums were released in stereo ONLY.
